University of Limerick reach CUFL Semi Finals

29 January 2009

University of Limerick beat ITT Dublin 1-0 in the last CUFL Premier Division Quarter Final today at Fairview Rangers ground Limerick.

At 28th minute free kick from Martin Deady was enough to win a tight game for UL. Irish Junior International Paul Cummins had a good header saved by ITT goalkeeper John Shanahan in the second half. Late pressure from ITT saw them force four corners in injury time with all players in the attacking third of the pitch. However UL defended well to advance to the CUFL Semi Final for the first time.
