Sad news of the passing of Bob Eustace

10 May 2012

We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of CFAI President Bob Eustace this morning.

Bob had bravely battled an illness over the last number of months before passing away peacefully at the Blackrock Clinic in Dublin this morning.

Bob,  as he was known to all in colleges football, started his involvement in Bolton Street, before it became Dublin Institute of Technology. He was heavily involved in the foundation of the Association in 1972. He managed the International team for many years before going on to become a long serving Chairman. In 2004 he was elected as President of the association and in 2007 the Bob Eustace Cup competition was named in his honour.

In his role as CFAI chairman, Bob represented the association on many FAI committees and  went on to become an Honorary Life Member of the Football Association of Ireland.

Arrangements: Reposing at his home on Sunday, May 13. Removal on Monday, May 14 to Holy Rosary Church, La Touche Road, Greystones arriving for Requiem Mass at 10.00 o’clock followed by burial in Redford Cemetery, Blacklion, Greystones.

May he rest in peace
