Shane O'Connor starred for Cobh Ramblers as they ended their local rivals Ringmahon Rangers' cup fairytale in the Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup. O'Connor would score twice in the 4-1 win.

Ringmahon were represented by 4 players from Colaiste Stiofain Naofa including Colleges & Universities international Rob Coughlan with Eoghan Daly and Roy Kenny also involved with the national team at Representative level. Mady Noah Cisse was on the scoresheet in the CUFL Premier Division Final earlier this year.

Andy Mulligan came off the bench to score late on to send Wexford Youths into the Quarter Finals at the expense of Sligo Rovers.

Jamie McGrath played a crucial part in St. Pat's league away win over Longford as his threatening play led to the awarding of a free kick which resulted in the only goal of the game.
