Last season’s beaten semi-finalists University of Ulster Jordanstown were the big winners in today’s games with a 5-1 win over Belfast Metropolitan College.

Goals from Jamie Carr and Ben Ryan saw IT Carlow defeat 2-1 NUI Maynooth at Bunclody. Last season’s beaten finalists DIT missed a penalty and lost 1-0 at home to ITT Dublin with a goal from Adam Cullen. In the Cork derby Cork IT beat UCC 3-1 on penalties after the game finished 1-1.

In the First Division Galway Technical Institute beat IT Carlow B 3-1 at Terryland Park with goals from Enda Curran, David Cullen and Mark Dowling. Dundalk IT’s John Bingham got four goals in their 6-2 win over NCI who had two men sent off. IT Blanchardstown went to Waterford IT and won 1-0 in extra-time with a goal from Clemont Duachi.

Inchicore College are the first team through to the Second Division Semi Final with a 4-0 win over Colaiste Stiofáin Naofa B with goals from  Gary Fortune, Damien Cuffe, Anthony O'Brien and Jason O'Neill.
