The four Premier Division Quarter Finals were held today with holders IT Carlow and last years beaten finalists Athlone IT safely through to this seasons semi finals, while first time quarter finalists DCU had a great win over last season's semi finalists Letterkenny IT.

A hat trick from Barry O'Mahony and two goals from Andy Mulligan were enough for IT Carlow to ease into the last four with a 5-1 win over University of Limerick for whom Owen Walsh had drawn them level in the first half.
Athlone beat Waterford IT 3-0 with second half goals from Sean Brennan, Sodig Ogumtola and Noel Varley.
A 58th minute goal from Daniel Aherne gave DCU an excellent win away to fancied Letterkenny IT.
DIT who were beaten in the 2010 final by UCD had an excellent 3-1 win over the talented Belfast Metropolitan College with goals from Jack Memery, Jordan Conroy and Aaron O'Dwyer, Belfast Met's Joe Todd had equalised in the first half.
In Division One Sallynoggin College surprised Drogheda Institute with a 7-2 win in Oriel Park, their goals coming from Dean Mason (3), Adam Henessy, Craig Cumisky, Ger Pender, Nicholas Byrne. Richard Gibney and Eoghan Mulroy replied for the Louth men.
In Division Two Pearse College easily saw off DIT 'C' in a 6-0 win with goals from Correy Davidson 2, Jamie Keane 2, Joey Hedderman, Daniel McGuinness, while LIT Tipperary came away from NUI Maynooth with an excellent 2-0 win thanks to goals from Anthony Harte and Dan Dalton.
