WATERFORD IT 1
Goals early and late gave UCD a narrow victory over Waterford IT at Belfield to clinch a semi final place in the Colleges and Universities Premier League.
Cillian Morrison from the penalty spot in the opening minutes put the home side in front after Waterford 'keeper Kevin Burns had up ended the UCD man.
The winner came in the final minute when substitute Tom O'Halloran curled in a late free kick from distance that was allowed to sail past the Waterford defence.
In between former UCD Airtricity Under19 League defender Killian Cantwell had managed to level for Waterford with a cracking volley on the hour mark from the edge of the box.
While earlier Cantwell had hit the upright and Mustapha Monsuredeen squandered two gilt edge chance that could put Waterford well in control before they lost Ian Goulding on 74 minutes after been dismissed following a tackle on Timmy Molloy.
UCD will now face Athlone IT and IT Carlow are set meet DCU in the semi finals.
