cfai national team 2 scottish universities 1

10 March 2014

Goals from Dean Broaders and Paul Malone gave the Colleges FAI side their first win after three successive draws in latest in their series of representative friendlies against the Scottish Universities at Oriel Park.

The Scots looked impressive from the start and Andrew Pender had them in front with fine strike after nine minutes.
But the Colleges did well to get back into the game and were level on 39 minutes with a Broaders header from Brian Nolan's cross creeping in at the far post.
Skipper Malone grabbed the winner just on the hour mark finishing well past goalkeeper Derick Moore from close range after Broaders brilliant cross had set him up.
