20 March 2014
Every year Griffith College awards scholarships to students who show an interest in our courses and can demonstrate an ability for playing at a high level in mens basketball and mens soccer.
The scholarship is open to all current Leaving Certificate students AND those studying on FETAC courses. Leaving Certificate students must be completing their exam in June 2014.
Each scholarship will be awarded for a period of one year but may be renewed annually for a maximum period of three years. The scholarship covers the cost of course fees for each academic year. It does NOT include accommodation, living or travel expenses which the student would need to organise themselves. It is important that the applicant takes this into consideration when applying for the scholarship.. Those seeking a scholarship will need to meet all academic criteria as well has having reached a high level of participation within their own sport.
The successful applicants must become full-time registered students of GCD for the 2014/2015 academic year (ie part-time students are not legible for scholarships). Successful candidates will be those who have met the required academic and sporting standard but who also show an interest in the organization of their respective club. Griffith College expects its scholars to be active on college campus and to aid the Students' Union where necessary.
