wscai matchday three

02 November 2015

Fresh off the mid-term break, the WSCAI resumes with 9 games that are crucial for each side's quarter final hopes.

There is a Limerick derby tonight as UL play host to Mary Immaculate College. UL will look to build on their positive start against their other local rivals LIT, while MIC will try to make amends for their defeat to Cork IT.

On Tuesday, UCD travel north to Jordanstown to take on the Ulster ladies. UUJ were able to contain Maynooth in their clash and will hope to do the same to the D4 side. In the Premier South, It Tralee are hoping to make amends for their heavy defeat to UCC as they welcome IT Carlow to Mounthawk Park. In the group's other clash, NUIG and UCC will meet having scored 14 goals a piece and conceding none. Unless Louise Creaven and Erin O'Donovan are on their A games in opposing goals, there surely has to be goals in this clash. In the day's only Division 1 game, Maynooth B entertain DIT in another game that is too hard to call.

On Wednesday, Maynooth travel west to Sligo in the Premier North. Based on their recent results, it will be fine margins that will seperate the two sides. In Division One, there's 2 Dublin derbies as Trinity and UCD do battle in the City Centre whilst DCU take on Blanchardstown out in D15. There is also Limerick IT v Cork IT to look forward to. CIT look to be the team in form and will hope they can build on that at the expense of the home side.
