Keele Cup, Irish Combined Colleges 1 - 0 Mosley Hill

24 July 2010

Irish Combined Colleges beat Mosley Hill in the opening match of the tournament.

Karen Duggan got the only goal of the game within the first five minutes. Great defending from the right back Sinead Leahy, who linked up well with Aoife Herbet who unleashed Val Leahy on the wing. Leahy delivered a low cross into the box through the Mosley Hill defence where Duggan was on hand to hammer the ball home past the Keeper.

The girls played well creating a lot of chances, including left winger Amelia Shister long range effortwhich forced a great save from the Mosley Hill goalkeeper who tipped the ball over the bar.
