Keele Cup, Irish Combined Colleges 2 - 1 Everton

Irish Combined Colleges put toughter a fine performance to beat Everton in their secound game of the day.

Juileann Hegarty opened the scoring for the Irish only for Everton to equalise with an unstopable strike early in the secound half. It was a dramatic ending to the game when Aoife Herbet got the winner with only two minutes to go.

The girls fought hard for each other and got the result they deserved in on the day.

The Irish combined Colleges now lie top of the group and are in the driving seat with one game to go against Curzon Ashton at 11AM tomorrow, to progress into the cup competition. Where they will face either Blackburn, |Liverpool or Manchester City who are competing in thew other group at the elite category of this years competition.
