Week 3 saw IT Sligo and IT Tralee taking the upper hand in their respective Premier divisions, with UCD slipping behind to IT Sligo after a 1-1 draw against NUI Galway
This sets up a vital fixture after the mid term between UCD and IT Sligo in the fight for first place in Premier North. IT Tralee’s win over UCC see’s them take a 3 point lead in Premier South and they are now hot favourites to finish first in their region.
First division action saw the first game of the season in division one North with University of Ulster Jordanstown having a convincing win over Queens of Belfast 11-1. Queen’s will now have to dig deep to get a result against UUJ in the return fixture if they are to progress to face the runner up of the division one west.
The Dublin divisions North and South brought win’s for NUI Maynooth and DIT. These divisions are going to be tight to the end with NUI Maynooth, UCD B, DIT and IT Blanchardstown currently looking most likely to qualify for the knock out stages of the league.
And finally, in division one South there were win’s for CIT B’s and LIT, CIT now look likely to win this division, leaving neighbours LIT and UL B’s to fight it out for second place
