WSCAI Matchday Two Round Up

WSCAI Premier Division holders UCD traveled to face rivals IT Sligo and came away with a 2-1 win and the three points after an excellent game.

Orlagh Nolan put UCD two up in the first half following Ciara Grant's opener but Aoife Brennan got one back for Sligo early into the second with a cracker but despite chances for both sides the Dubliners gave themselves an early season advantage. NUI Galway hosted Athlone IT and had a comfortable 4-1 victory.
In Premier South University of Limerick suffered a heavy 8-0 defeat to an impressive IT Carlow, the feature a hat-trick from Wexford Youths player Claire O'Riordan. University College Cork traveled to IT Tralee and won their second game with an excellent 4-2 win, Ciara O'Connell and Lauren Murphy among the goals.

In Division One Group A ITT Dublin were hammered by DIT. Maynooth University 'B' played host to Trinity College and the game featured a return to action, after ten months out with a cruciate injury, for Sara Lawlor who got a hat-trick in a 45 minute cameo.
Division One Group B saw Dublin City University beat University of Ulster Jordanstown 6-1.
