After a league rest week last week due to the Intervarsity qualifiers for some it was back to normal for all teams who had matches to complete.
Within the Premier North Maynooth were narrow winners when they made the short trip to UCD. A double for Sara Lawlor and one from Dara Walsh sent the Kildare University home with a 3-2 victory and all three points. The hard fight was fought but IT Sligo came out on top and travelled home with the three points after a 2-1 win over NUI Galway. Lisa Cassidy scored for the Galway side with Kathy McLaughlin and Catherine Hyndman scoring for IT Sligo.
Premier South saw a high scoring win for Waterford IT who made the trip west to be hosted by UL. Hitting the back of the net twice each were Ciara Rossiter and Leanner Bolger, Tara Power and Edel O'Dwyer got their names on the score sheet by grabbing a goal each. IT Carlow played host to UUC who with two goals from Vanessa Ogbonqa wasn't enough to stop the home side. IT Carlow managed to score five, with goals coming from Claire Kinsella and Claire O'Riordan scoring twice and Rebecca Horgan scoring the fifth. A 5-2 win and three points remained in Carlow.
In Division one Group A ITT Dublin welcomed Maynooth University B to Tallaght but it was the Kildare side who went home with the win. Aisling Cusack scored twice for the Dublin side with Julie Condron and Jenny Whelan scoring twice and Conny Olz scoring the fifth. UCD B made the short trip to DIT were a close match was played. The points and goal tally were evenly split with the game finishing 2-2. Goals for DIT came from Amy Murphy and Kirst Hogan and Gwennis Kenga and Rachel Healy getting on the score sheet for UCD. Group B as always saw an abundance of goals across two matches. Drogheda Institute of Further Education welcomed UUJ, with twenty goals being scored. UUJ came out on top winning the match 14-6 and returning North with all three points. DCU made the short trip to IT Blanchardstown. The Glasnevin side were aiming for four wins from four leaving them top of their division with a goal tally of 33. Their league winning streak continued with a 4-0 victory over their fellow Dublin side. Roisin Cafferty claimed her third hatrick of the season and Aine Bennett hit home the fourth of the game. Cafferty who has hit the back of the net twelve times in four matches has to be close to if not top scorer across the divisions. GMIT greeted UUC B for a match were by looking back over the season UCC B may have the slight upper hand. It was another high scoring match with the Cork side hitting home five times. Denise Starr got the only goal for the Galway side, with Anna O'Keefe, Annie Walsh and Jane Healy scoring once for UCC and Karen Delahunty getting on the score board twice.
